Iain Boyd

Dr. Iain Boyd is a highly skilled and experienced dental professional with over 20 years of dedication to both NHS and private care. As an accredited sedation trainer and mentor, certified by the Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Dr. Boyd specializes in advanced sedation techniques, including intravenous, inhalation, and intranasal sedation, ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during dental procedures.

In his previous role as Senior Dental Officer at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, Dr. Boyd managed dental care for adults and children, focusing on patients with complex needs and severe dental anxiety. Leading the Sedation Referral Service (Dental Anxiety & Management Service) for over a decade, he successfully treated many patients through specialized sedation methods.

Dr. Boyd also served as Clinical Lead for the Unscheduled Dental Care Service, where he provided urgent and emergency care across Bradford and Airedale. His expertise in managing challenging cases, including failed extractions, ensured prompt and effective care for all patients.
